Top Story: Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has put pen to paper, signing on to star in the Footloose remake. Rumors about Crawford’s casting have circulated for weeks, but Crawford hadn’t officially joined until yesterday. He will take on a role that was originally filled by Zac Efron. When Efron passed director Kenny Ortega and Paramount decided it was best to go with Diet Zac. Footloose is scheduled to hit theaters next summer. (Variety)
