  • There’s no Iron Man without Robert Downey, Jr. (At least until the reboot.) So after months of negotiations over his salary and his co-stars salary, RDJ has finally signed on to Marvel’s The Avengers 2 & 3. However, it looks like there won’t be an Iron Man 4 because as Marvel moves into Phase Three, it looks like they’re ready to phase out Iron Man. (AICN)

  • Fox has finally set a day for Independence Day 2! The long-anticipated sequel to the 1996 sci-fi action hit from Roland Emmerich is now slated for July 3, 2015. (The Playlist)
  • Will the Rock be in Terminator 5? The franchise savior Dwayne Johnson may join Arnold Schwarzenegger in the latest installment of the Terminator franchise, which will begin filming early next year. (Examiner)
  • Since the death of Sopranos star James Gandolfini, sales of the groundbreaking TV drama have surged on iTunes and Amazon. As of yesterday, the first season was No. 1 on the streaming and DVD top ten lists respectively. Thank God I have HBO Go. (The Wrap)
  • Parenthood fans will be happy to know that Ray Romano will return  to the series as Sarah’s boss next season. (Deadline)
  • Oscar winner Anne Hathaway will produce and star in an adaptation of Charlotte Rogan’s novel The Lifeboat about a newlywed/widow who stands trial for murder. (THR)
