With the release of Thor: The Dark World just a couple weeks away, we expected to see a trailer for Captain American: The Winter Soldier. I would have guessed that it would have debuted a little closer to Thor. But here it is in all it’s glory. Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. Just what we need. Another WWII movie. Well, the subgenre that just won’t die is this time in the hands of George Clooney, who is getting better as a director with every film he releases. I wouldn’t expect The Dirty Dozen here. If you haven’t heard about Escape from Tomorrow, well, where the hell have you been? The film premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and on the festival circut is where we thought it would stay. Why? Nobody thought the idea of a film clandestinely shot inside Disney World and Disney Land would ever see the light of day, especially one that uses Disney iconography to illustrate a demented man’s descent into madness. And yet… we have at trailer. Escape from Tomorrow certainly a ballsy little movie and the people who have seen it have called it one of the year’s best. The ROBCOP Remake Has A Trailer And It’s Not Worth Buying For A Dollar
Generally speaking, I won’t post movie news that I just don’t care about. That’s why you haven’t seen anything about Transformers 4 on here. But the trailer for the Robocop remake that comes out next year has been released and I can’t help but share the horror. You see, Verhoeven’s Robocop is a masterpiece and remaking it is no different that returning to any great work of cinema. José Padilha’s RoboCop looks like the soulless, characterless product that we expect from the likes of World War Z… but not Robo.
