ABC Family To Release The Never-Produced NINE LIVES OF CHLOE KING Movie Script Online

So I have a soft spot for teen dramas. And an even softer one for teen fantasy dramas. (This is why I check Netflix everyday to see if the fourth season of Vampire Diaries is available.) One weekend, I shotgunned the entire series of The Nine Lives of Chloe King, a show about a teen girl who realizes she comes from a race of cat-people, expecting there to be more one day. There wasn’t. The show was canceled and me, like many other fans, were left wondering what would happen to Miss King and the gang. But ABC Family is making up for leaving us hanging by releasing the un-produced Chloe King movie script online. The screenplay will be available starting on Friday, Sept. 13, at 9:13 a.m. PST. Now I know at least one thing I’ll be doing this weekend… that...

BREAKING BAD Spinoff BETTER CALL SAUL Is Coming To AMC

Posted by on Sep 12, 2013 in Big News, The Tube | 0 comments

We’re down to the last three hours of Breaking Bad, but that doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of Saul Goodman. The colorful supporting character played by Bob Odenkirk is about to get his own series on AMC. The cable network and Sony have struck a deal that will make AMC the home of Better Call Saul. The spinoff has been actively in the works for months now will serve as a prequel to Breaking Bad, which hopefully means we’ll see the return of some of our favorite (dead) characters like Mike Ehrmantraut and Gus Fring. Deals still need to be finalized with producers Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, as well as Odenkirk, but now we at least know that Saul’s series has a home at...

THE KILLING Is Dead. Again.

R.I.P. The Killing.  AMC has officially canned the series, which just finished an unlikely third season this summer. Now if you’re like me, you might have found The Killing‘s first season to be riveting. The the second season rolled around and you realized that the whole Rosie Larsen thing wasn’t going to be wrapped up until the end. And then the killer reveal was just plain terrible. That second season soured enough of the audience to get the show canceled. But AMC, Fox and Netflix hatched a scheme to bring the show back for a third season, which gave them a chance to make up for the sins of the past (dragging out the mystery for 10-episodes more than necessary). Well, it didn’t work. The audience ticked up and the reviews were more favorable, but it never reached season one levels....

There’s An AMERICAN PSYCHO Sequel TV Series In The Works

Posted by on Sep 11, 2013 in The Tube | 0 comments

Patrick Batemen is about to join the ranks of Hannibal Lecter and Norman Bates (and his mom) as cinematic psychos turned TV stars, that’s if FX has their way. The cable network is currently planning a sequel series that will take place years after the events in Mary Harron’s adaptation of Brett Easton Ellis’s American Psycho. So what’s the series about? According to Deadline, the show will follow a 50-something Bateman who takes on a protege to create the next-generation American Psycho. (Obviously, Bateman hasn’t heard about how hard it is to work with Millennials.) Now, I’m not against this idea. It could work smashingly, like Hannibal. Or it could be generally forgettable, like Bates Motel. Still, the real brilliance of the movie/book was the criticism of Reagan-era douche-baggery. How will that translate to the present day? Well, I’m sure Gordon Gekko would have something...

Hungery for a little more Cynthia Nixon?
