X-FILES Creator Chris Carter Is Developing A New Show At AMC
Former X-Files writer and producer Vince Gilligan is wrapping up Breaking Bad at AMC, but it looks like the man who created the groundbreaking sci-fi series will be stepping in to fill the network’s apparently required X-Files alum position. Chris Carter, who created The X-Files, is developing a show at the cable network that revolves around… well… who knows. In an interview with the Vulture, Carter mentioned that it’s based on a book that AMC execs handed to him and owes to The X-Files. That’s about as specific as Carter would get, but he did have this to say about the direction of the show: “I think that I am treading on some of this interesting ground that Bradley Manning, Edward Snowden, and Julian Assange have uncovered for us.” Another resource he’s drawing from is his cable-news addiction, which currently keeps him up at night....

TV doesn’t get much better than Sunday’s Breaking Bad. And Sunday’s Breaking Bad is a prime example of why this series, now in its final episodes, is one of the greatest in TV history. Nothing big happens, nothing explosive. But there’s an increasingly ominous tone to the entire episode that positions the series, and its characters, for a very dark conclusion. Bryan Fuller’s SyFy Pilot HIGH NOON Casts Two Leads
Fewer words are more exciting than “Bryan Fuller’s SyFy pilot,” at least to TV geekdom. Fuller, who has produced some of the best, most short-lived series of the past decade, never seems to be at a loss for work despite a history of low-rated cult shows. And while his Hannibal is bound to be gutted by NBC after next season, we have another project of his moving ahead that we can look forward to. There’s A GLEE Stage Musical In The Works, Which Is Totally A Great Idea
Remember way back when Moulin Rouge! was a hit? The next logical step for that movie was to take it to the stage. One short German touring production later and that adaptation seems to be dead. Wel,l 21st Century Fox Television doesn’t seem to be content with 20th Century Fox’s failed stage musical experiment because now it appear that Glee could be coming to a stage near you. According to The Wrap, 21st Century Fox Television chairman and CEO Gary Newman revealed plans for the musical recently saying: “We launched a live stage business with a sold-out arena concert tour in 2011, and now a live stage musical is in the works.” Glee does have one thing Moulin Rouge! didn’t have, which is experience with live performances. Of course, Glee isn’t the show it was when the live concerts were going around the country....
